hey, at first i didn't really like this place at first but now, i love it... a big part of it might simply be that the people that i have meet in this trip are simply amazing! all around good people, hopefully i will keep in contact with most of them... i actually have a list of my top favorite 5 in the residence! which they all help me partice my spanish and they told me about the spanish culture stuff that i could not of known from only the class room... i also got offer to come back next year for the profesora group. but for this i will have to practice my ass off and simply start to speak spanish and what not... my grammar is pretty good so far than again i haven't really touch the subjunctive yet... we will see when it comes around... here is my plan for the next two weeks before flighting back home haveing some canadian food and going out to celebrate canada day!!! hahaha tonight i leave from the latest train to madrid where i have my flight for A Coruña in the morning, so i am staying in A Coruña the 15 to the 20th of June. From there i flight back to Madrid where i have another flight for Malaga the same day, i will be in Malaga the 20th to the 25th of June, where i will also do a one night one day trip to Granada, where i will see the Alhambra... quite excited for that!!! on the 25th i flight Malaga-Barcelona and i stay in Barcelona untill the 29th. on the 29th i have a flight to Madrid were i stay over night in the airport for my flight to Paris in the early morning on the 30th... i have all day in Paris on the 30th where i hope i can hang out some more with Laura and finally on the 1st of july i fly back home... hopefully that really unclear scedual has not confused you guys to much... if so you can easily write me something and i will try to do my best to unconfuse you!! so what happen in the last 2 weeks you ask... nothing much really... i when to madrid on last sunday, went to 2 museum the prado and la reina sofia and we also went to a book fair it was huge!!! it was in a really cool park and what not i enjoyed it very much... on last tuesday i went to Salamanca... its gorgeous... a very old town..... its the town that holds one of the top 3 oldest university in the world... were i can say i went for 6 weeks in the campus they have in avila!! anywho i walked around took pictures got some university souvenirs and yah thats pretty much it... it was fun thats for sure... by the way the university was founded in 1218!!! so you have to say damn thats an old university, and you can simply imagine how the buildings are... they are actually all in the center of the town inside the "walls" or at least what is remaning of the "walls" anywho thats all i have to say for now... hopefully i will be able to have access to a computer once and again.... pura vida, miriam

hello its kinda sad but last night was the last day for 5 of the 15 canadiens! and i have to say it was sad... my roomate is one of them, and the room seems to be crazy empty now and i don't like it... but hey its life i guess... i'm sure in a few days i will be thinking otherwise and i will start to like having the single room to myself! on thursday we went to this really cool hotel that has a bar kinda like back home... a place where you can have a drink or what not.. i liked it... we took tons of pictures but i didn't bring my camera because we also went otu directly afterwards... so anywho after the hotel we went to an actual sit down restaurant got a appetizer, a meal, a desert and a drink for 15 euros which is pretty good and than we went to the bars. it was fun! i still had classes on friday, i went to them and i survived!! hahaha today we are going to the center of avila the "old avila" taking some pictures and chilling.. i think we might be eating supper there we are definately having an ice cream!!! and we are also going to do somemore shopping you know... i am a girl!!! anywho thats pretty much it for now! i will talk to you people later and i hope everything is great back home!! hey ppl!!! nothing much has happen here, its pretty basic go to classes and find something to do during siesta and then making are way to the walls to go shopping... yesterday in the residence they had this kinda of banquet or what not with a dance and i have to say it was fun... i´ve came to the c onlusion that spanish people are crazy... we had supper at like 9:30 untill 11 and then they had a dance untill 2 i think and than they when to the club untill 6 am!!! and they are doing it all over again tonight! i´m slowly getting to know them and geting to interact with them... which is good and i am quite happy about it. because it makes it a little bit more easier! thats pretty much it... í´m sure there is going to be mroe interesting thing going on later on.... pura vida, Miriam Tuesday, 8 May 2007
today was so much better than yesterday simply becasue i didnt get that really mean prof i had o n monday... this prof decided to pick at me for an entire 2 hours straight, because i couldnt say certain words properly... but meh whatever right im learning the worst is that he keeped on being on my back about it and it made me more and more nervous everytime he asked me and yah i didnt like it much... than he asked me if i was nervous i told him yes and he said that i souldnt be nervous that i haev to be confident, becasue he has cofidence in me! but i want nervous untill he came in the class and started to bug me about not being able to pronounce certain words... i pronouced then as a guestion which is understandable, i ddin´t know how to pronouce then! but meh the point is that today was so much better, the prof was sick or something he wasnt able to come so this other prof who was generaly so much better than him... and i think i actually learned soemthing rather than nothing! were is how my secdual goes.. 9:10 communication class with Cristina 10:10 grammer ish class with Cristina also 11:10 grammer ish class with Justo (mean prof.) 12:10 culture with Roger i only have an hour with the mean prof normally but roger isn´t here yet so he replaces roger... for a week i think... roger had a really bad allergy reaction to somethign... i´m done by 1 and i walkback to the residence for some food. and then the whole town goes into a siesta... everything closes untill 5! im not used to it and so far i don´t like it either... once or twice a week there is a special activity that is cultural and on every wed we have a spanish movie! so the time will probably go by fast... today we have an activity which is a tour of the town... inside the walls and the churches around! i´m happy ill be doing something... thats all for now... the adventure is still going on... hey ppl!! sorry i havent written more on the other blog but its because the key boards where different making it hard to type and i got annoyed... yesterday i when to moulin rouge which i was disapointed because there is really nothing spectacular with it at least the outside... then i walked in the wrong direction for sacre-coeur but no worries, i simply took the metro to the sacre-coeur exist so i didnt miss it!! woohooo after that i took the metro to the louvre and stayed in there for about 2 to 3 hours saw everything that seemed important such as mona lisa, venus of milo and other things that i cant think of right now.... i saw all of the french sculptures which were cool they where place as if that section of the louvre was a garden or a courtyard i liked it... after that i took the metro to the alexander 3 bridge which leads you to the invalides hotel of louis something..... things in paris are just huge!!! enormous!!! anywho yesterday i also took the train to beauvais to make sure i will not miss the flight to madrid because that would suck!!! anywho i stayed in a cheap hotel... they have these cool shuttles things which i like... the bus picks you up from the train station drives everyone to their hotel or to the airport... anywho i think that is it for now... talk to you later...

hey ppl!!! its my last night in paris its sad and im tired i basiclly walked everywhere my leg are not liking me right now... the first day i was here i meet up with Laura a friend from school who is haft french and she is working in Paris for the summer i say sweet deal laura... eventhough she come to paris often she never went to the top of the eiffle tour so thats what we did... it was amazing and i was happy i went with someone it made the first day here so much better and it made me feel like i can do whar ever i wanted, paris was there to be discovered by MOI!!! and dicovering is what i did... second day was versaille; notre-dame; louvre fro, outside; arc de triomphe; champs elysees and other things from around there... oh le pont alexandre 3... today was sacre-coeur; moulin rouge and the inside of the louvre!!! man is the louvre ever huge!!! after é hours there i hqd enough i was getting lost and i just wanted to see the outside so thats what i did.. i walked to hotel des invalide and fro, there took pictures and relaxed for a while... tonight i take the train to beauvais the city in which my plane leaves fro, its very early in the am and i really dont want to miss it... so madrid/avila is next... the adventures continues lqter on....
